The Beatles - ‘Graham Moreland Promo E.Ps Collection Box Set’. BEP 14
It is highly likely that this is a completely unique item, a one of a kind. A promotional edition of The Beatles 1981 box set of E.P’s which has been specifically made for former BBC Scotland DJ Graham Moreland by EMI.
From my research Graham worked as a BBC Radio Scotland DJ / presenter during the 1970’s and 1980’s. As a BBC DJ he would have been inline to receive a multitude of promotional items from various record companies. This was custom made for him by EMI to advertise the forthcoming Beatles E.P box set. The front features his name embossed in gold lettering exactly the same as all other text on the box. The rear features a ‘FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE’ sticker.
I have seen one other of these boxes which was produced for BBC Radio One presenter (during the 1980’s) Peter Powell. I imagine only a few leading UK DJ’s would of had these custom made for them. Logic dictates that each one made would be a unique one of kind. No E.P’s are included, only the box. Some ares of wear but mainly the front scuff as pictured. A wonderful talking point and great display piece. When will you ever find another?
