BEATLES UK - Rubber Soul, ‘Loud’ cut and Abbey Road.

Rubber Soul, PMC 1267 - original 1965 Mono yellow & black Parlophone labels, very first UK Mono issue ‘Loud’ cut.

A UK album in original condition, featuring:

1. a very first UK Mono issue of this LP with the 1 / 1 matrix, now affectionately called the ‘Loud cut’,

2. upon its first release in the UK back in December 1965 attempts were made to recall these very first issues as the Beatles record producer was not happy with the overall sound balance. These first issues were quickly replaced with the more familiar 4 / 4 mono matrix records.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near very good condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is in very good condition and all the text on the spine is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve features a tri flipback design. The rear of the sleeve has remained a good clean white for its age. There are NO splits, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. On the (rear only), middle opening edge there are two 10mm tears. There are some small ‘ticks’ written in blue pen along side some of the ‘song  listing’ on the rear of the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original ‘Use Emitex’ sleeve. There are NO stains, pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue. There is a slight split to one of the side edges.

THE VINYL: side one is in very good condition, side two is in near very good condition, the vinyl is made from the period ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl.

The matrix are :    XEX 579 - 1    and    XEX 580 – 1,  a very first issue LOUD CUT,

The mother / stampers are:    ‘ 4  L O ’   and   ‘ 2  P L ’.

THE AUDIO: is very good, it plays with some light crackle and some ‘ticks’ here and there. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: side one is in near very good condition, side two is in very good condition. There are the letters ‘K T’ embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

A UK album in original condition, featuring:

To the rear top left of the main sleeve there is an original shop price sticker that says ‘ BOOTS  £5’.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition. The spine is in very good condition and all the text on the spine is clear to read. There are NO stains, pen writing, tears, splits or no other stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent+ condition and is the original EMI white sleeve with the text ‘Important notice’ and the date of the sleeve, shown as 3/81, being March 1981. An excellent white, fresh sleeve. There are NO tears, splits, stains, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE VINYL: is in near MINT condition. It has remained very dark and glossy, looks just like new.

The matrix are: YEX 749 - 4 and YEX 750 - 3,

The mother/stampers are:  ‘4   1 5 2   ’  and  ‘ 3  1 1 0’, the initials ‘HTM’ are engraved onto side two.

THE AUDIO: is excellent, the record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: side one is in MINT condition, side two is in excellent+ condition. Side two has the track, ‘Her Majesty’ printed. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
