This is the original BEATLES MONO UK LP  "Sgt PEPPERS LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND"  published in 1967.

FEATURES THE VERY FIRST 4th PROOF SLEEVE (test print sleeves used in initial live production) AND THE VERY FIRST STAMPS 1 G  0 G.

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO VIEW DETAILED PHOTOS.

Vinyl EX. Beautiful original gloss with a couple of non sounding  scratch marks on side-1 mainly noticable under light. Under light and in addition to mentioned just one or two ultra light hairlines. Plays pretty much MINT - near silent intros/between tracks - no pops or clicks. Fantastically rare 4th proof that plays nearly MINT. XEX 637-1,  XEX638-1.   1 G  0 G. Very first stamps.

SLEEVE G. While the vinyl looks great and plays nearly mint the sleeve is only good - spine scuffed but not worn through - scuff mark on the front where there is a little piece of laminate missing. The inside is very nice and nearly unmarked. No splits or tears.

INNER EX. Original red and pink phsyc - no splits or tears - no writing.

CUTOUT EX.

[My gradings are based on the "RECORD COLLECTOR'S" grading system. The following text is from the "RECORD COLLECTOR" price guide:-
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD:  The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, with out any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD:  The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR:  The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD:  The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.]

THIS ORIGINAL LOOKS GREAT AND PLAYS NEAR MINT. FIRST OFF THE PRESS!
