Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Sgt Pepper' 1969 ONE BOX MONO vinyl LP - extremely rare!!
This particular pressing features the ULTRA RARE 'One Box' mono Parlophone EMI labels on both sides! However, it features STEREO matrices (YEX) on both sides and also stereo matrices on the labels - NEVER PERSONALLY SEEN THIS BEFORE!! Probably the second rarest Sgt Pepper, second only to the ultra rare Nimbus pressing.
This was pressed in 1969 and around this time, most customers wanted stereo records as they were in fashion and mono seemed old. This meant that the mono records were pressed in way fewer numbers so it's considered to VERY RARE and highly collectible amongst Beatles fanatics. Also, most people were more interested in The Beatles latest album or even solo stuff so not so many were sold! DO NOT MISS OUT!!

Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - there are some very light scratches and light hairline marks but nothing that I can feel! Still has a nice shine! Seems a bi dusty so a deep clean will help. Rated as VERY GOOD+/EXCELLENT-. Label is EXCELLENT. Side 2 - same as Side 1 with a few more light, non-feelable marks!
Audio: I have play-tested the entire album and it is currently graded as EXCELLENT-/EXCELLENT! I can confirm that there are NO SKIPS, NO JUMPS and NO STICKS on my system! There is some crackle and light pops on run-in but they soon disappear as the punchy audio kicks in! Lots of nice 60s warm with fantastic clarity and a nice rich bass tone! A wonderful, enjoyable listen - DO NOT MISS OUT!!
Insert: The original green cut-out card insert is in EXCELLENT+ condition! Free from damage, writing, rips or tears!
Sleeve: The original 1969 mono flipback gatefold sleeve is in EXCELLENT-/EXCELLENT condition! The front of the sleeve has a lovely gloss and shine with very light ringwear and literally two small spots of laminate creasing - nothing serious, still looks great! All edges are intact! The rear of the sleeve is nice and clean with a wonderful gloss and shine! Some laminate creasing towards the spine and bottom edge but it's not serious and still looks really good! The spine is clean with a very small brown mark towards the bottom - literally 1cm if that! 100% readable text! The inner gatefold has a stunning shine and is very very clean! Creaks upon opening and has intact flipbacks with some white paper marks on them. Everything looks great and clean and the whole sleeve is free from writing!
