The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid.  The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's.  An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored.  These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay.  With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await.  My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner.  I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed.  I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find.  All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
RARE original press Riverside Contemporary Series deep groove MONO vinyl LP RLP 12-236 - released 1957 
NM vinyl appears as new retaining original sheen and gloss.  No spindle marks on labels.  Play test on NAD C555 turntable revealed pristinely clear luminous analogue sound with only a smattering of occasional very light (and brief) surface.  Overall I was duly impressed at the quality - one of the finest recordings I've heard from this incredible collection.  Beautiful EX laminated cover has no splits or dings.  Donald Byrd trumpet, Hank Mobley tenor sax, Wilbur Ware bass, G. T. Hogan drums.
