Description
From UK-based collector, a Made in Greece pressing of the classic LP, Mono 1st pressing (1967). The catalogue reference of the vinyl is PMCG7 (indicating country of origin) but the sleeve lists PMC 7027 Mono (I think sleeve was imported from the UK for local distrubution). This version has a spine, with the name of the record on it. It's on the yellow & black Parlophone label. The matrices are X-637 and X-638. Below I aim to describe the condition as best as I can:
a. The vinyl looks in excellent condition. It has not been played for more than 20 years, and was kept in safe storage. In bright light, there is a small hairline scuff on side 1 but otherwise no scratches. The record has "Made in Greece" at the bottom - see picture
b. the original inner white sleeve in excellent condition, no cuts, tears, etc.
c. the inner fold-out picture of the Beatles in excellent condition with no marks at all (see picture)
d. the main outer sleeve in good - very good condition for its age, with some scuffing around the corners and edges. The spine has some wear& tear (scuffing and crinkles) but the spine label is legible with slight discolouration. There is no hand-writing or tears anywhere on the sleeve but there is normal wear and tear from handling.
Greek pressings of this record are offered at high price in auction to reflect its relative rarity. Sent by standard Postage from the UK but let me know if you require Registered Posting.
