This is a listing for an extremely rare Garage 45. Only four other copies are confirmed to exist. GO TO: http://www.finerecordingstudio.com/g45/. This is a site that catalogs the 1,000 rarest Garage 45's (Only the top 300 have been compiled to date, with incremental additions of 100 records being made at a time). G45 states the following about this record: "a superb 2-sider. "Baby Go" is a deceptively simple and beautiful pop/beat amalgam which somehow manages to find chord sequences and melodies that no other song ever touched upon. There is magic in this world. The flipside "Beginning's End" is haunting, melodic polished pop, unmistakably belonging to the garage genre, with its rolling toms and chiming clean guitars. A beautiful song that begs to be reissued. Several copies are known, definitely less than 10. We need more information. Hear "Baby Go" on the great Shutdown 66 LP compilation." G45 goes on to give the record the following ratings on a 1 to 5 scale for its star rating, rarity, and legendary status: a 5 for star rating which includes the records music quality, energy, originality, and appeal; a 4 for rarity, meaning that there are 4 known copies worldwide that are known to exist in the hands of collectors (This would make 5!); and a 2 for the record's legendary status. The latter relates to how well and for how long the record has been known to exist and how extensively the record has appeared on compilations or want lists. As the evaluation states, Baby Go apparently appears on at least one compilation while Beginning's End has not yet appeared on any compilations. The record visually grades in beautiful near mint condition. However, it play grades VG to VG+ due to the presence of significant surface noise. I believe that this is likely attributable to pressing quality, a problem with many small label companies that recorded Garage 45's. A prospective bidder should listen to the sound bytes to additionally assess the noise presence. The labels are like new except that there is a laminated sticker on the A side. This was the way I acquired the record. I have been reluctant to attempt to remove the sticker because it is not cosmetically unappealing although it is rather large. There is what looks like part of a glue stain underneath where the sticker is located (See images below). The texture of the label is unaffected. Don't let this truly rare gem pass you by! It is incredibly rare in any condition. The record is made of vinyl and not styrene. The record was play graded on an audiophile system employing Basis Ovation, Graham Industries, Transfiguration, Sound Applications, and Jeff Rowland componentry.
