Description

For auction is "Mucho Calor," on Andex A 3002, MONO, DG, 1958. Art Pepper with Conte Candoli, Bill Perkins, Russ Freeman, Ben Tucker, Chuck Flores, Jack Costanza and Mike Pacheco. Great charts by Bill Holman, Johnny Mandel, Benny Carter, and Art Pepper.

SOUND: NM

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. The playback is brilliant, clean and clear! Overall just outstanding. Three teenie-weenie tics were heard in A2, "Autumn Leaves."

VINYL: VG+/NM-

The vinyl is glossy and clean overall. There are 3 superficial hairline marks on side B that have no effect on playback. The labels are deep-grooved. The side B label has a touch of wrinkling in the paper above "Mucho Calor" (see pic.)

JACKET: NM

The jacket was protected by the original plastic all these years, consequently it is in brilliant condition! The laminated front looks fantastic! The back cover is perfectly clean and bright. There are the a few small age-spots in the top and bottom margins. The edges and spine are almost perfect! Three corners are sharp, the upper right has a little bump.

The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.

This record is a gem! No upgrade is possible! No reserve, bidding starts at $25.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.

Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.

If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material.  Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
