Both sides of the record have 203 S. Washington Ave.; Bergenfield, N.J. address. "RVG" is stamped in the dead wax on both sides of the record indicating that the engineer was Rudy Van Gelder.. Leader, Thelonious Monk, piano on all 7 tracks. 3 tracks, recorded in 1953 also include Sonny Rollins, tenor sax; Julius Watkins, French horn; Percy Heath, bass; Willie Jones, drums. 4 tracks recorded in 1954 also includes Frank Foster, tenor sax; Curly Russell, bass; Art Blakey, drums. The 1953 date includes 2 takes of "Think Of One". Includes the original inner sleeve.
Cover: Mint(-) Intact and clean. Stamped "Preview Copy" on the back cover. Shows no aging, no wear.
Record: VG++ to Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. 1 surface rub mark on Side A, 3 small rub marks on Side B. These do not affect the sound. Played only a very few times. On Side A, 1 click on Track 2, 3 light clicks on Track 3, 4 light clicks near the beginning of Track 4 with several revolutions of light groove noise. No surface noise on Side B. Fine overall condition. Close to Mint with the minor noise detailed. Audibly checked.
