Description
I was recently invited to sell a wonderful collection of old jazz, blues and big band era records that came from the estate of a Mrs. Margie M. Raymer. Mrs Raymer was the voice heard on a late night jazz radio station during the late 50s and early 60s in western Kentucky. Her collection consist of 45 rpms, 33 1/3rds and the older 78s (individual records and box or album sets). Lots and lots of great legendary artist including Billie Holiday, Leadbelly, Ben Webster, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Lightening Hopkins, The Dorseys and Glenn Miller. Also many lesser known artist including Bunk Johnson, Joe Reichman, Mimmie Noone, James Johnson, Nellie Lutcher Freddie Slack, Lu Waters & The Delta Rhythm Boys. Mrs Raymer was often sent demo or promotional records for air play (some seldom played) and frequently corresponded with famous artist including Louis Armstrong and Dave Brubeck. Mrs Raymer took very good care of her records. Most were kept in protective sleeves or record album books. Through the month of December I will be listing her wonderful treasures on ebay. HERE WE HAVE a very nice three record (12 inch 78 rpms) set featuring Louis Armstrong titled LOUIS ARMSTRONG ALL STARS WITH JACK TEAGARDEN. RCA Victor Record Set #HJ-14. Songs include Rockin' Chair, Ain't Misbehavin', Pennies From Heaven, Back O' Town Blues, Save It Pretty Mama & St. James Infirmary. The album is in very good condition with a previous owner's address label and a peeled place at the front upper left corner. The records are in very good (nearly new) condition. Again...these are 12 inch 78 rpms. High USA bidder pays $4.00 for media rate postage. Combine and save. Thanks for lookin' and gooooood luck.
