Item Description:

JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE: 'Are You Experienced' LP

Polydor 184-085 LP, made in Germany, not dated. Album is play graded.

Record: Very strong VG+, with a few light hairlines, a few light fingerprints and some light dirt. Would really benefit from a cleaning with a record-vac or other similar cleaning system. No other signs of wear; no warps, skips, scratches, scuffs or other visible defects. Labels have some light spindle marks.

Cover: VG, with light ring wear, a little minor damage on the bottom edge, heavily worn corners and some light creasing.

This is a copy of Jimi Hendrix's 1966 debut album 'Are You Experienced'. It's one the great records of the 60's, with "Foxy Lady", "Fire", "Manic Depression" and three tracks that were pulled for the US edition. The German pressing is based on the original UK mix, so compared to a US pressing the imaging is less compressed and the bass is less forward.

Based on the label (made in Germany), I assume this is a 90's reissue. It's a really nice play copy for the budget minded fan.

Free shipping included in the price (a $4 value).

Discount pricing is available for multiple purchases that are shipped together. Please ask for details prior to bidding.

GRADING

M = MINT. Absolutely perfect in every way - never played. I rarely use this grade.

NM = NEAR MINT. A nearly perfect record. The record should show no obvious signs of wear. The LP jacket should have no creases, folds, seam splits or other signs of use. The same should be true of inserts, lyric sheets, posters, etc.

NM- = NEAR MINT MINUS. This is a grade of my own devising. The record will show signs that it was played, but rarely. Record surfaces may have very light needle trails or very light scuffs, but NO scratches or warps. The LP jacket may have very light wear, but NO cut-out holes, cut corners or saw cuts.

VG+ = VERY GOOD PLUS. The record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner(s) who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show slight signs of wear and may have slight warps, slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't significantly affect the listening experience. The LP jacket may have some signs of wear and may be marred by a cut-out hole/cut corner/saw cut.

VG = VERY GOOD. Many of the condition issues found on a VG+ record will be more pronounced on a VG record. Some surface noise will be evident upon playing. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to be felt with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. LP jackets may have writing, tape or stickers/labels/tags. Other signs of wear may also be evident.

VG- = VERY GOOD MINUS. Similar to a VG record, but with more obvious condition issues. Surface noise from light scratches or groove wear will be present, but the record will not have skips. LP jackets will have multiple signs of wear. Not collectible, but may serve as a play copy.

All items are packed carefully and shipped in cardboard shipping containers. I assume no responsibility for package once it has been shipped.
