Description

This is a super rare 1967 silkscreened poster by the renowned artist Michael English for concerts dates at the UFO club in Tottenham Court Road, London Feb 27 & Mar 3 1967 by Pink Floyd, Brothers Grimm and Soft Machine.

The poster measures 30 x 40 inches and is in good condition overall. There is creasing but if it were linen backed it would be stunning. This is a genuine 60's silkscreen - NOT a cheap reprint. You can feel the slightly raised edges of the silkscreen ink above the paper. I have photographed the main shot to highlight the creasing - there are no grey areas on the poster - it is just the contrast to show you the condition of the creasing !

Printed signature of Michael English in bottom right corner. A very rare relic from this period and 100% genuine. Been of relatively simple design there cannot be many to have survived from this period as opposed to the more decorative multi-coloured Psychedelic posters which picture designs for which English is most famous. It would have had limited print runs and the majority of if not all others may be now lost.
