Description
Rare private press black gospel / soul / funk / boogie LP by the Sensational Prodigal Sons entitled "Stand Still" - - released on Richburg Records, from Newark New Jersey. Group featured Albert Robinson, Van Fonville, Johnny Cardwell, Vernon Brice singing Wayne Matthews, James Matthews, and Anthony Ward in the band.
Record is super clean! hardly a mark. inspected closely, cleaned, and play tested - - perfect!
Record sleeve was in shrink - I removed it, because the sleeve had faint musty smell (as so many great old gems do) and I wanted to make 100 percent sure there was no signs of mold or water damage. There is a very very light bumping to a small part of the black sleeve, and a very very light but very small streak which appears like a liquid mark, but it is far too minimal to call damage. The rest of the sleeve is bright white, as if new, with a tiny tiny bit of wear around some of the edges and corners. Very nice!
Excellent record - - - moves from groovy to deeply soulful, quality musicianship and songwriting. Contains praise from Brother Eugen Flip Forest on the back.
