Description

Rare and out-of-print copy of Saturn 1272, Live in Egypt, v. 1,  by Sun Ra and the Arkestra.  Tunes are:

Side One: Discipline 27/Solarship Voyage/Cosmo-Darkness/The Light Thereof

Side Two: Friendly Galaxy/To Nature's God/Why Go to the Moon

The most interesting feature are the striking hand-drawn and colored labels.  These appeared on very few Saturns.  Side two is colored by hand.  Side one is colored even more elaborately, has a hand drawn logo, and has a textured plastic overlay which does not show up on the photo.  All Saturns are pretty unique, but this one is extra-special.  The cover has light ring/age wear and a very slight bit of wear in the upper right corner.  At one time, the back had the usual piece of paper taped to the back, but that is gone, leaving only the tape and a little bit of paper.  The disc is a typical Saturn that has a couple of small marks that should not sound.
