Sun Ra begins with improvisations on the Yamaha DX7 synthesizer. John Cage performs his vocal work, Empty Words (Part IV), then each alternates performances.

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has been noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
