ZOOT SIMS – ZOOT: ZOOT SIMS QUARTET – ARGO 608 – EX/VG+ - MONO
Recorded on October 12, 1956 in Chicago, this session features Zoot Sims on tenor and alto, Johnny Williams on piano, Knobby Totah on bass and Gus Johnson on drums. Side 1: 920 SPECIAL; THE MAN I LOVE; 55TH AND STATE and BLUE ROOM. SIDE 2: GUS’S BLUES; THAT OLD FEELING; BOHEMIA AFTER DARK AND WOUDY’N YOU. The address on the liner notes reads 4750 Cottage Grove Ave., Chicago, Ill. This is a MONO recording.
I have graded the vinyl on the LP as EX and the record Jacket as VG+ for the following reasons. The Vinyl is clean of any marks on both sides. There are marks in and around the spindle hole. The record jacket is clean with little deterioration, but there are taped seams on the top and bottom, as well as the spine. The cover and the liner notes show little wear.
