Here is a special lot comprising a UK 1st mono double EP PLUS an original double issue edition of the 'Radio Times' from Christmas 1967
This magazine contains the original premiere programme listing on 'Boxing Day' - 26th December 1967.
Page 33 shows the a feature on the film and page 44 has and the actual premiere listing for 'Magical Mystery Tour' 'Boxing Day' at 8.35 to 9.25 on 'Boxing Day' (26th December 1967).
The magazine includes listings for all BBC TV & Radio programmes, including show such as: The Monkees, Doctor Who, Juke Box Jury, Top Of The Pops, Petula Clark and many others.
Although the BBC at this time did broadcast a colour service on their second channel, BBC 2 - the film was shown on BBC 1 which only broadcast in black & white!
CONDITIONEXCELLENT
A rare 100% complete copy which is is clean, flat with no marked, missing or damaged pages.
Apart from some natural age-toning to the paper, this copy is as good as you could hope to find.
The disc set is the rare 1967 1st mono pressing on the UK black & silver Parlophone label: MMT 1
All labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text and upper case 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
'KT' tax/price codes is visible on the side 3 label.
Housed in its original 'story' booklet with blue centre lyric sheet & fluted white paper inner-sleeves.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18435-1, 4-1, 6-1, 7-2
Stamper numbers: 3/AH, 6/PDG, 2/O, 1/MD
All Labels: EXCELLENT
Visual: Disc 1: VERY GOOD PLUS Disc 2: EXCELLENT
All surfaces are clean and bright with disc 1 bearing just a few light surface marks but no significant scratches or other major signs of wear.
Audio: Both Discs: VERY GOOD PLUS
Both discs have been played but apart from light background on 'Your Mother Should Know' and 'Fool On The Hill', all tracks play without any significant or major faults.
Booklet: EXCELLENT MINUSStrong, clean & unfaded throughout, with all pages present and intact with no creasing or tears.
Both the front & rear panels have a bright & undamaged laminate with just a hint of light shelfwear to the lower corners, but no major faults.
There are a few spots on the centre lyric sheet but the spine is clean & unworn and the staples inside & out are clean & unrusted.
Some light handling & storagewear but no splits, tears or marks anywhere.
