A classic psych soundtrack if ever there was one. YAWYE is a great rocky garage record with plenty of chunky beats to keep dancefloors happy. Mostly rock-based, there are two outstanding funkier tracks, the wicked midtempo instrumental 'Painting for freakout' (by the soundtrack composer, John Simon) with big drums, bass and piano, and the excellent crazy MOOG funk-rocker 'Freakout'. Recommended if you like a rocky or psychedelic feel to your funk. *BLAX overall Rating: 4.
