The Beatles 20 Greatest Hits 1st Issue PROMO LP

Before the Beatles’ “1” LP, there was a previous LP issued more than 35 years ago that included their Number 1 hits. That LP is in this auction:

·       “20 GREATEST HITS” LP by The Beatles

·       This is Capitol Records SV-12245.

·       The LP was originally issued October 15, 1982.

·       This is a FIRST PRESSING COVER, because the rear cover has printing in black and blue ink.

·       The VINYL is also FIRST PRESSING, because the Side 1 label has the incorrect running time of 1:04 for “Yesterday”.  

·       The COVER is marked as a PROMOTIONAL ISSUE in the upper right corner with the embossed gold foil (partial) printing that reads:

PROPERTY OF CAPITOL RECORDS, INC. This album is on loan for PROMOTIONAL USES ONLY. Holder agrees to return it on demand. Attempted sales are void, and in violation of law. L 77296

·       The COVER is in VERY STRONG VG+ CONDITION (not far from NM Minus). The primarily white cover is NICE and CLEAN with very light/minimal wear. (A tough cover to find this clean!)

·       The VINYL is NEAR MINT MINUS with just a few very light surface hairlines/scuffs.

·       The ORIGINAL PHOTO INNER SLEEVE is included. It is in VG+ CONDITION with a small 2-inch split on one side.

It’s a VERY NICE COPY of this LP if you’re looking for one.
