R&B Monthly was the idea and work of (editor) Mike Vernon and (ass.editor) Neil Slaven.

Both well known for their work in British Blues (recordings) as well as the introduction to a greater public of the 'original' american performers live in UK as well as on record.

The BLUE HORIZON label as well as eg OUT ASITE (with eg. John Mayall/Eric Clapton release could be ordered thru this mag only!!) and others was Vernon's work also.

The copies of R&B Monthly were sold-out almost immediately. They were only available thru a subscription and always short of.
