THE BEATLES - 'WITH THE BEATLES'
This early UK 1st stereo pressing dates from November 1963 release on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3045
The side 2 label 'Dominion' publishing credit for the song 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me' is misspelt 'Domion'.
The label also carries the earliest 'Jobete' publishing credit for the song 'Money'.
Matrices: YEX 110-2 & YEX 111-2
Stamper codes: 3/GG & 3/GM
Vinyl weight: 149g
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed stereo cover with a large a stereo front indicator.
On the rear panel, track 3 on side 2 is spelt as o the label; 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me'.
Complete with original rice-paper lined 'Use EMItex...' inner-sleeve.
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT
A clean, bright set with some minor wear around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both playing surfaces retain all of their deep-gloss factory shine bearing a few light hairlines and superficial surface marks beneath halogen light but no serious issues.
Audio: EXCELLENT +Carefully played on good equipment only, the sound quality is clean, full and unworn throughout. All of the warmth and presence of this early stereo mic shine throughout with no clicks, tick or any other audible distractions. A great listen.
Cover: VERY GOOD
Fully intact with moderate handling & storagewear but no major faults. These early stereo covers were made from rather low-quality card which quickly went brittle but this example has done well to survive the past 56 years in respectable condition. The front panel has light storage rubbing to the laminate along with a few small 'thumbnail' and spine wrinkles. There is some obvious wear to the upper right corner and the front opening edge but no other issues elsewhere. the rear panel shows some mild age-toning but is otherwise clean and free from any writing or missing paper. All flipbacks, seams and the spine are undamaged and the spine is fully worded.
Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD -
Noticeable age-toning but no other faults.
