All housed in an incredibly deluxe package in a beautiful black cloth box, with a book that boggles my mind with all of its notes, biographical info and reproductions of Iannis’ scores . One of the very most sought-after artifacts of 20th-Century music, period. Beyond ESSENTIAL, this is simply a cornerstone of electronic music/composition history.

One of the greatest mathematicians, thinkers and musicians of the 20th Century. On these records, you can find everything from his early electronic music to his weird experimental music made after mathematical patterns and calculations with computer machines: "Syrmos pour 18 cordes", "Polytope pour 4 orchestres dissemines dans le public", "Medea pour choeur d'hommes, galets et orchestre", "Kraanerg musique pour orchestre et bande magnetique", "Terretektorh pour grand orchestre dont les musiciens, dissemines dans le public, jouent de 4 instruments a percussion en plus du leur", "Nomos Gamma pour grand orchestre dissemine dans le public", "Bohor I", "Diamorphoses II", Orient-occident III", "Concret P-H II". This set includes a 36 pages booklet describing some of Xenakis music theories, with Mathematical graphics, drawings, letters debates and exchanges (with Hermann Scherchen, among others), and essays from Maurice Fleuret and Francois-Bernard Mache. The result is unearthly and very unique...very different from anything else you've listened this far...A historic highly recommended boxset!!

Vinyls, box and book lie in excellent-, very fresh condition after all those years!!
