On Asch
The records are in E+condition (N E V G grading system) & almost all of their shellac remains. They have not seen much play. There are no cracks, or chips, just a few light sctratches. The sleeves are all intact.
This set is in remarkable condition considering it's age.
The Union Boys were :
Burl Ives, Tom Glazer, Alan Lomax, Brownie McGhee, Pete Seeger, Sonny Terry, and Josh White
They never performed publicly as a group. In March 1944 Alan Lomax brought the boys in to record a number of labor-oriented songs. Some of the songs were issued by Asch Records as Songs For Victory, including U.A.W.-C.I.O., - Butch Hawes. These songs tied together union organizing, (United Automobile Workers),victory over Germany, & a slight history of the union.
