Description

An original copy of WTB on UK Parlophone from summer 1969. Matrix 2/2 [incidentally same as 1st cut]. Please note there's NO Sold In The UK statement - and this was discontinued summer 1969. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo 2 flipback cover. I'm thinking - this cover is probably from 12 months after the record was actually pressed [a switch at some point no doubt]. But it is ostensibly pretty much the same product [barring the one flipback] so no major compromise. In fact, given the quality of the audio contained within I would argue - zero problem at all. We also have the original late 60's EMI advertising inner sleeve too.
Vinyl (Ex+) In super condition and has only seen very light use. Please note that, whilst there are NO markings from actual use, there are a couple of superficial frosting/cloudy patches on SIDE 2. I have paid particular attention to these spots in case they interfere in anyway with audio. I'm literally picking NOTHING up entering the audio spectrum [even when concentrating closely]. So, you might argue that 'visibly' Side 2 grades a smidge lower, but remember that I am grading THE AUDIO. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Super condition and it really is very unusual finding an original 60's copy a)looking this good and b)playing as good or better than it looks. Easy to grade as it plays borderline perfect throughout. Perfectly quiet in all areas. Zero background anywhere. Clean as a whistle even into lowkey sections. The perfect playing copy I would argue. FINAL UPRAGDE.
Cover (Ex-) In very respectable condition with a lovely shiny and flat front - just a couple of minor thumbnails. The rear has avoided most of the ageing process - maybe just slightest evidence in places. All flipbacks are intact and secure. Edge wear is very slight and the openings firm. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains verygood rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits.
