Description

THE BEATLES - 'WITH THE BEATLES'
This outstanding UK 1st STEREO pressing dates from initial November 1963 release on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3045

Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK....' text but have 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.

The side 2 label includes 'Jobete Mus NCB.' credit for the song 'Money'.

There is no purchase tax code present in the centre of either label.

Matrix numbers: YEX 110-2 & YEX 111-2

Stamper codes: 3/GG & 3/GG

Vinyl weight: 147g

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with the initial 'darker' front image.

Like the side 2 label, the rear track-listing bears the incorrect 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me' spelling for track 3 on side 2.

Complete with its original poly-lined 'Use Emitex...' inner-sleeve.

Disc

Labels: NEAR MINT

An immaculate pair with no more than 3/4 faint spindle trails around each completely unworn centre hole.

Visual: NEAR MINT

Pristine, factory-fresh playing surfaces which are unmarked and shine 'as new' in strong daylight. Even close examination beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp reveals nothing more than 2/3 of the faintest inner-sleeve removal hairlines, together with a sparkling rainbow shine. Both sides of this unbeatable disc lie 100% flat on the turntable & will not require upgrading.

Sound Quality: NEAR MINT

Played less than a handful of times on high-end equipment, this exceptional copy plays flawlessly throughout. My single careful play-check at volume detected absolutely no trace of any groove/playwear on any track or in either channel. Only a trace of low-level vinyl background between tracks is all that prevents the highest audible grade. The warmth & clarity of the sound shines through everywhere and without a single click, pop or tick on or between any of these incredible tracks.

Cover: EXCELLENT +

A truly exceptional example of this iconic cover which belies its 49 years.

The front panel is perfectly clean and retains a full unscratched high-gloss laminate free from any 'thumbnail' wrinkles to any part.

There is a faint bend towards the upper right corner and three tiny spine wrinkles but no other wear of this type. There is a tiny area of damage to the lower right corner but all others are clean & sharp. There is a touch of wear to the front opening edge but no tears to either side.

The rear panel displays slight age-toning along with a few aged fingermarks towards the spine, but no writing or missing paper anywhere.

All flipbacks are fully intact and undamaged & the spine is clean, uncrushed & fully worded.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
