Description
This is the original 1970 UK issue with the Trend tape reel picture labels, the A//1 B//1 matrices & 1-2-1 1-2-1 stampers of the first pressings.
The second album by Warm Dust was recorded during mid-1970 and released in November 1970. The band originated from Sheffield, playing Jazz/Rock & Blues and included Paul Carrack, Tex Comer, Dave Pepper, Alan Soloman, John Surguy, Les Walker and Keith Bailey. They were signed by Trend Records (part of the Philips Group), in 1969 and their first album 'And It Came To Pass' was released in April 1970. They toured the UK & Europe and released a third album in 1972 in Germany called 'Warm Dust 3', alongside a compilation album of their first two albums called 'Dreams of Impossibillities', but the UK release was abandoned, although acetate/test pressings exist. The band broke up soon after, with Paul Carrack & Terry Comer later forming Ace.
The Howard Printers Ltd matt gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear and some light storage rubbing on the outer cover and a little rubbing on the inner cover. The spine is intact and fully readable and the plain inner is intact & in VG+ condition.
The record is in visually EX condition, with only a couple of faint hairlines and one or two small needle scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with some light foxing and evidence of a couple of faint spindle markings on each side.
The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud crackle or hiss and definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves.
Overall, it is a really great, loud & clear listen.
The matrix nos. are; 6480001, A//1 mother stamper 1-2-1, B//1 mother stamper 1-2-1. This is one of the early 1st pressings of the original 1970 UK stereo issue of this rare album!

All Airmail is limited to 5 or 6 lp's due to 2kg weight restrictions.
