GRADE (COVER/VINYL): VG+/VG+ (see detailed notes below)
NOTES: Original Phillipines pressing from 1977 of hard rock psych classic. For an original Filipino pressing, this is an incredibly clean looking example, but I need to give some detailed notes on condition.
The cover is very clean with hardly any shelf or ring wear, which is amazing for a black cover. There are 2 small punch holes near the bottom right corner and a tiny bit of wear along the bottom seam. If I graded album covers on a curve based on country of origin, then this would be Near Mint with none of the usual problems that afflict most covers from the Phillipines!
The record has some light hairlines visible under bright light, but no scratches or serious visual flaws. However, there is an edge warp that affects the first minute or so of each side. I was able to play through this warp with no problems by changing my tonearm tracking to 3g, but with a lower setting of 1.5g it skips at the beginning of the first track. So as long as you have a decent turntable where you can adjust the tonearm tracking weight, you should have no problem playing this.
I paid quite a bit for this album, hence the high minimum bid. Considering that a lesser condition copy just sold for over $300, I think this price is reasonable.
