‘BACK TO THE EGG’
PROMO ONLY BOX SET
A 1979 UK MPL FACTORY SAMPLE LP PLUS PROMOTIONAL ITEMS,
PCTC 257.
This MPL ISSUE VINYL LP was released by in the UK in 1979.
The Vinyl LP is in near mint condition, there is a white with red print sticker on the rear of the sleeve, and reads, FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE.
Both sides of the record labels are in NEAR MINT condition.
The side 1 matrix is YEX 987-2.- Side 2 matrix is YEX 988-2 .
The vinyl disc comes in it’s ORIGINAL printed card record inner sleeve, the inner sleeve is in Near mint condition, with a small a 1” split on the bottom edge, where the record has rubbed.
And is housed in its ORIGINAL card picture sleeve which is a Strong Excellent and shows only the faintest signs of use. It is basically near mint aswell
The outer box is graded Excellent, stunning clean and sharp
Also included is 8 photographs (all 10" x 8"), with the credit slips still attached to the rear of each one, a postcard, 5 x band member bubblegum-style info cards, and a badge in the shape of a fried egg
Rare promotional item. The history of this boxset is interesting. It was given to Billy Idol's sister by Linda McCartney after a gig in london. Billy Idol's sister recently gave this to a charity, this where I purchased it from.
