Here for sale is the Wild Style Breakbeats 7 x 7 from Get On Down by Kenny Dope. The Wild Style Breakbeats are a holy grail of early hip-hop artifacts. Different from the original Wild Style soundtrack, these Breakbeats were created specifically for the DJ's in the movie to use during the live performance scenes. According to producer Fab 5 Freddy, only 100 white labels were ever pressed (and only five of the thirteen recorded tracks ever used in the film or appeared on the soundtrack) making them some of the rarest pieces of wax in hip hop history. Fast forward to the present and renowned DJ, producer, and Wild Style fanatic Kenny Dope has acquired the original reel-to-reel tapes from director Charlie Ahearn and has lovingly extended, re-EQ'd, and re-edited the breakbeats in this premium 45 set. This is the first official release of the Wildstyle breakbeats. All 13 breaks are presented here in deluxe 7" format on seven 45's (with Wild Style etching on the B-side of the 7th 45) and packaged in a special 28 page "Kay-Dee Case Book" featuring extensive liner notes along with numerous photos and interviews from key Wild Style figures including Charlie Ahearn, Fab 5 Freddy, Grandwizard Theodore and more.
