WIGWAM : TOMBSTONE VALENTINE

LPs grade Near Mint ~ FTS-3089-2 ~ White promo labels ~ 1970 ~ Stereo ~ 2 stickers on gatefold cover

Info sticker on front has a quote from Lester Bangs (!!) ~ Dayglo orange DJ sticker on back cover

Colorful original, thick stock gatefold cover grades EX (VG++) with slight ring wear. Back cover has minor ring wear and a couple slight creases. The spine is intact with slight creasing/flaking. There is minor corner wear ~ the corner at spine bottom is slightly bent/creased. Top seams are intact with minor flaking. Bottom seams are also intact w/ slight flaking. Back cover features a cool color photo of the group (circa 1969). Inner cover is in great shape but has a bit of brown old-age spotting along the top edge. Inner spine is intact. Cover opens up to reveal a large b&w photo of this legendary Finnish group. Sticker on front is intact except for one corner. Back cover DJ sticker is intact & bright with very slight wear.

The white Verve Forecast labels are extremely sharp with no spindle marks, stamps, writing etc.

Both records show very few signs of play or wear, if any. Thus they receive the rare grade of Near Mint. The vinyl itself is thick & inflexible, black & shiny. These records have been stored for a long time but do not appear to have ever been spun.

The band would go on to release several more fine albums but none of the others were released in the States. (My personal favorite is their lp NUCLEAR NITECLUB, a progressive rock gem from 1975 issued on Virgin.) This lengthy double concept album, the group's second lp overall, combines Psych, Pop & early Prog. Here is a very nice WLP copy in Excellent shape. Give a listen to the Valentine !!"
