FORMED AFTER THE break up of Mountain by super guitarist Leslie West and drummer extraordinaire Corky Laing. As huge fans of Cream(Mountain bassist Felix Papparlardi produced a few Cream albums) they approached Jack Bruce to complete the new band who was only too willing to get back to some heavy blues rocking. With West on guitar doing his best to outgun Clapton, the sound is, as you might reasonably imagine, super heavy and very blues orientated. Like Beck, Bogart & Appice they really get into the riffing in a big way; the sound is like a mountain of Marshall amplifiers tumbling down a hill.

Great tracks like 'Back Fire', 'Token', 'Rock N' Roll Machine', Scotch Crotch' (guess who that one's about?), 'Slow Blues' and 'Dirty Shoes'. Leaves nothing to the imagination do they? One of my favourite albums and a record that has seen more action on my deck tahn Led Zeppelin '1'.

This is the best copy that I've ever seen. The cover and vinyl looks like it they were hermatically sealed the very second it came off the production lime in 1973. Untouched by human hand (except mine!).

Vinyl: Superb clean condition. No spindle marks and no other signs of use. Grades as shop fresh MINT!

Cover: Again, no signs of use. Issued in a beautifully illustrated comic strip style cover. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is perfectly straight, square and totally uncrushed. Looks like it walked out of the factory yesterday. Beautiful and impossible to find like this 45 years after release. Grades as shop fresh MINT!
