Description
The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid. The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's. An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored. These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay. With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await. My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner. I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed. I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find. All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
SEALED mono vinyl LP Atlantic 1291 - released 19?? (As a sealed item I can not be held accountable for label variations.)
A beautiful copy! Minor ring wear and shrink tear lower edge (no effect on cover). Two release dates for this mono LP exist; 1958 and 1961. Research shows the 58' version featured a black label while the 61' version featured a multi-color label. The title is purported to be deep groove.
Personnel includes Philly Joe Jones drums, Paul Chambers bass, Paul Motian drums and Ronnie Ball piano. Production overseen by Lennie Tristano and engineering, Tom Dowd.
