Up for auction is this demo copy of The Who Bald Headed Woman / I Can't Explain without the original sleeve. It will be sent with a new card sleeve.
I will try to describe the item to the best of my abilities but please be aware that I am not a dealer and therefore will not be able to properly grade the item. I will, however, give what I believe to be my best opinion based on previous experience. Plus I will add what I believe to be the closest grade at the bottom of this page according to Goldmine.
Firstly the vinyl has not been professionally cleaned. It has only had the surface dirt removed with pressurized air but it would certainly benefit from a deep clean.
Please note, the photos I have taken do not get the true condition as was having a bit of trouble with lighting and focus.
There are quite a lot of small hairline scratches to both sides of the record but they are only visible in very good light. I have played the record and it sounds very good on I Can't Explain but Bald Headed Woman does have a small amount of crackling throughout. It does not jump or skip.

I am going to grade this item as VG on both sides of the record.

Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time.
Please note: although the grade description indicates that scratches may be felt with a finger nail. On this record, I cannot feel the scratches. As you can probably see from the pictures, they are quite light.
The item will be sent 1st class signed for via royal mail. Returns accepted with valid reasoning (i.e Grading is not agreed by both partys)
