From the archives of a noted Australian rock’n’roll and entertainment historian comes this piece of classic Australian music history. Vicky Simms. Yo Yo Heart / 45. Australian pressing. 1962. Festival FK 161. An Australian indigenous performer, Vicky on the singles, Vicki on the 1962 EP and, in the 1970s, as Vic Simms. Record in Very Good condition, some scuffs and hairlines that don’t affect play. Sounds great. Paper Festival sleeve with radio station library sticker. SHIPPING: In these COVID times, there have been problems with international shipping from Australia beyond slow, or no, air mail. I’ve had a parcel to the UK damaged and another that was diverted from air mail to sea mail and took four months reach Europe. Until things improve, I’m shifting to Express Air Mail. More expensive but if you’re bidding for a record you want to enhance the probability of getting it in good order. I’d also prefer to fully insure the higher-valued purchases, which means the correct value of the record is noted on the customs form (some buyers, from countries that levy customs duty, have been reluctant to do this in the past). However, this is something we can negotiate post-auction. If buyers want to forgo claiming a refund on damaged goods (check my feedback and you’ll see I pack EXTREMELY well), then that’s up to them.
