Description
This very rare and collectable 7" promo single of the iconic Beatles song Yesterday is an instrumental version recorded and played by acclaimed producer, musician and conductor George Martin and his orchestra. It was released in the UK on Parlaphone (R 5375) on 12 November 1965.
Yesterday was written by Paul McCartney, credited to Lennon-McCartney and produced by George Martin. The Beatles version was first issued on the album Help! in August 1965, and as a single in the US in September the same year.
Martin's final recording of the Beatles version of Yesterday with its orchestral accompaniment was so different from other works by the band that they vetoed its release as a single in the UK. It finally appeared on the UK EP Yesterday in March 1966 which peaked at number 8 in the UK charts. Today Yesterday is one of the most covered songs in the history of recorded music.
Condition is "Used". This promo single is in excellent condition, as defined by Record Collector: ''The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality'.
Dispatched in the UK by Royal Mail Special Delivery in stout packaging.
