Comments: Here we go... Up for auction is the SUPER RARE Velvet Under Ground and Nico (MONO V/5008 with correct dead wax numbers) "TORSO BACK", Unpeeled Banana Sticker Album. This album was pressed in 1967 and is the stock MONO copy from Verve with the Blue Label and Silver Lettering. The banana sticker on the cover is completely intact (not a single rip or tear). The cover does have a slight "wrinkle" in the lower right hand corner. The cover shows very little ring wear and can be cleaned up (professionally) to restore it's original luster. (I have cleaned album covers before, but I wouldn't dare touch something of this rarity!). The back cover exhibits what every record collector wants to see on this album. It is the upside down torso of journalist Eric Emerson. VERY VERY FEW copies were released before Emerson insisted that his photo be removed. Auction includes the orginial Verve Inner Sleeve. This album is guaranteed to be 100% orginial, untouched, not a counterfeit, re-issue or import. It has become a holy grail in the record collecting community and this is a fine example. Not only does it appeal to the record enthusiast, but also a Collector of Andy Warhol's art. This is a No Reserve, 5 day auction.
