VAN HALEN Why Can't This Be Love - W8470P
A very rare Scarce 1986 UK WEA UNCUT test pressing of the limited edition 2-track 7" vinyl SHAPED PICTURE DISC single which features the cover image from the '5150' album, also includes the track Get Up.
Etched into the runout grooves, W8470P A/W8470P B respectively for A-side and B-side.
An absolute rarity and you are not likely to see another any time soon. I have searched far and wide to find another to gauge a value and cannot find one sold in recent years.
Listed separately are a number of other rare uncut picture discs. These came from a collection that have been stored in a loft since 1988 and came from a worker at the OLAKE pressing plant in Dagenham, Essex, UK. This is brand new to the market since manufacturing.
This superb rarity has not been cut to the finished shape but remains as a 12" disc with clear vinyl surrounding the central image. Uncut picture discs are generally used as 'test pressings' - a few are always made to check the image alignment and print quality before the final run is cut to the desired shape. These rarely appear for sale as a handful are made.
