PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1971 first press, an extremely-rare Canadian released LP is one of those gifted albums that gets better & better wit each play offering strong memorable melodies within their powerful attack!
Clearly progressive underground with edges of the UK blues rock scene ala Ashkan and Elias Hulk. The band was formed in 1970 in Southern Belgium but clearly has the classic heavy early '70s British sound. Jenghiz Khan were short-lived but their "Well Cut" LP has long been in demand among collectors. This contained the archetypal hard/dramatic progressive rock of the times, similar to Iron Butterfly and May Blitz.
One of those real rare hard rock group LP's often considered as heavy progressive, "JENGHIZ KHAN" produced one sole album that is now a highly-priced collectible item. It's housed in an amazing phantasy-like gatefold cover of the Great Conqueror having cut the group member's heads off, this obscure quartet is also the second band of bassist Pierre Raepsat (he had recorded with another "progressive" group LAURELIE one year before, leaving as well one now highly collectible Lp).
JENGHIZ KHAN's masterpiece Lp contains Pierre Raepsaet's heavily accented Paul Rodgers-inspired vocals, kicked along by Tim Brean's gushing organ and Friswa's buzz-saw guitar, material like the bluesy ''Campus A'' and ''Trip To Paradise'' was every bit as good as material being churned out by their UK and US competitors...but probably the epic 10:12 "Trip To Paradise" being the album's highlight.
