Description
About This Record. This is a rarely seen original USA copy of Night Shadow 's LP entitled The Square Root of Two that was released on Spectrum Records ST2001 in 1968 in Georgia. Side One of this LP is on everybody's top ten psych LP side list for sure. Not a keeper copy for most, but plays OK with no skips or sticks or jumps . . . I offer full refund including shipping both ways (for USA and foreign buyers in case for some wildly strange reason you might be unhappy with this purchase). Comes cleaned on my KL Audio Ultrasonic Record Cleaner and placed in a new dust-free sleeve for your grandchildren. And at least one plastic sleeves for moisture protection (for you and me).
Cover Condition: STRONG Very Good (VG) THICK original cover. No spine or seam splits (but those seem waiting to happen), but lots of shelf wear, and a fair number of small creases, and the back cover has some noticeable age spotting. Light ring wear. Most would call this VG+ or even EX-, but I like to grade conservatively. Please see all my Photos. I didn't take them for fun and frolic.
Vinyl Condition: STRONG! Good Plus (G+). LOTS of paper marks and light marks, but nothing deep. Not a happy sight, like most copies of this LP that have surfaced, but this has no sticks, jumps, skips etc., just background noise in many spots that does not detract so much from the music, if you can call this music! :)
Labels. Excellent (EX) labels; just light spindle marks around the center hole. Please see photos of all labels in case I missed something.
Inserts: Comes with the original plain white (now brown) paper innersleeve but, no worries, the LP comes cleaned on my KL Audio Ultrasonic Record Cleaning Machine and in a new rice paper sleeve equivalent.
Packaging. I clean all vinyl on my KL Audio Ultrasonic Record Cleaning Machine and place it in a new innersleeve so the old dust does not reattach; but I also include the innersleeve that came with the LP if it is the original. I separate the vinyl in its new sleeve after cleaning from the cover, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool records transition to your record collection. I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack with at least two insert stiffeners, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and/or “Fragile” or something like that to help facilitate a safe passage.
