Description
VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO: s/t, VERVE 710004. German orig 1967 first pressing, in orig US MONO/Torso first pressing cover with missing stereo sticker on back (some residue left from it). Disc is nice EXCELLENT with a few light hairlines only, plays superbyl form A to Z. Only a bit of the usual surface sound, that even mint copies has, no scracthes causing clicks, visually it looks great – the few hairlines are very hard to see. Cover is VG++, has a 8 cm bottom split, no paper missing, can be re-glued. Banana sticker has a few discrete tear lines, no parts mssing except for a small white spot on banana. Back spine is really nice & fully readable. Upper spines nice, one lower spine has the split as mentioned, other is fine. Great whiteness to cover. Small writing inside gatefold. Overall great looking frist pressing US MONO / torso cover with a bit of visible residue from the German stereo sticker that was once attached. This proves that this was an orig US export cover, sent to Germany for the earliest German (stereo only) LPs. GOOD LUCK!!!
GRADINGS
I have ten years of experience of selling vintage vinyl. I aim at selling top quality LPs only. Gradings are on the M/ EX/VG+/VG scale. I will rarely I sell LPs less than VG+, unless of considerable rarity.
- MINT- is superb, almost like new. No marks, scratches, clicks, noise, or anything else.
- EX is also VERY nice, 2-3 light marks perhaps, no disturbing noise, great sound quality.
- VG+, a nice player, but probably has some visual impairments, and some clicks or light noise in places; always see the individual description.
- VG: Rarely put of for sale, an ok copy, but always see the individual description.
PLAYGRADING
There's no guessing about condition from visual look. The visual look of a record is very important, but it only tells part of the truth. Therefore I playgrade and carefully check all my offered LPs.
SHIPPING
I ship in strong, brand new cruciform shipping boxes with padding inside. The boxes are slightly bigger than the normal LP-size, thereby providing good protection of corners and edges. I remove LPs from sleeves, in order to prevent seam-splits on transit. If you have individual requirements regarding shipping, I will always do my best to coorporate. I also add extra corner protection to all packages.
