On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Van Der Graaf Generator called "The Least We Can Do Is Wave To Each Other" and is an ORIGINAL 1970 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press 'Textured' PINK Charisma label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS WAS VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR'S FIRST & RAREST LP EVER AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1970 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED, IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS - AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND TODAY!!!!  THIS LP IS MADE EVEN RARER STILL - AS IT IS 100% COMPLETE WITH ITS ORIGINAL 1ST PRESS 'COLOUR' POSTER (USUALLY MISSING!) WHICH IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION!!!!

A WORD SURROUNDING THE 'MYTH' ABOUT THE POSTER!!!!  I HAVE SEEN PEOPLE BEFORE SAYING 'EXTRA FOLDS IN THE POSTER' OR 'A PREVIOUS OWNER HAS FOLDED THIS'.  THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT THE CASE!!!!  ALL POSTERS ARE EXACTLY THE SAME!!!!  BECAUSE UNLIKE THE ROLLING STONES 'LET IT BLEED' POSTER (MADE BY DECCA) OR THE BEATLES 'WHITE ALBUM' POSTER (MADE BY EMI / PARLOPHONE) FOR EXAMPLE - THESE POSTERS WERE 'HAND FOLDED' BY CHARISMA EMPLOYEES AND PUT INTO THE COVERS AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE BY HAND!!!!  LARGE RECORD COMPANIES LIKE DECCA OR PARLOPHONE HAD THE ABILITY TO PURCHASE 'FOLDING MACHINES' FOR POSTERS TO MAKE EVERYTHING NEAT AND 'EXACT'.  HOWEVER, CHARISMA WAS A MUCH SMALLER OUTFIT, AND THE BEST THEY COULD DO - WAS EMPLOY PEOPLE TO 'HAND FOLD' THE POSTERS.  AND OF COURSE, BACK IN THE UK IN THE 1970s MANY WORKERS WERE PAID BY 'PIECE RATES' (I.E. THE QUICKER THEY WORKED THE MORE THEY GOT PAID) - AND SO THEY FOLDED THESE POSTERS ROUGHLY AND QUICKLY!!!!  SO EVEN IF YOU FIND A STONE MINT 'UNTOUCHED' COPY OF THIS LP (UNLIKELY) - YOU WOULD STILL FIND THE POSTER IS ROUGHLY FOLDED AND THE FOLDS NEVER MATCH UP!!!!  BECAUSE THIS IS EXACTLY HOW EVERY SINGLE POSTER WAS MADE LIKE - BACK IN THE FACTORY IN THE 1970!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION - AND CLEARLY HASNT BEEN PLAYED THAT MUCH AT ALL!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1970 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS 'TEXTURED' PINK CHARISMA LABEL, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, ULTRA RARE 1ST PRESS 'DOUBLE SIDED' POSTER, AND 1ST PRESS 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' GATEFOLD 'PATENTS PENDING' COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Charisma UK 1st Pressing from 1970 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is CAS 1007 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Pink Charisma abel (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!! 

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a VERY few light spindle marks!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 MEGA light hairlines, NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!!  It is also great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!!  It plays with NO pops, barely ANY clicks AT ALL, NO jumps, NO sticks, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some VERY low level background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - NOT in the music AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!!  The record must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  BRILLIANT RECORD!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  THE ULTRA RARE HAND-FOLDED 'COLOUR' POSTER IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION - WITH ABSOLUTELY NO DAMAGE AT ALL!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Garrod & Lofthouse' Gatefold 'Patents Pending' Cover is in GREAT condition!!!!  It has NO edge splits, NO edge wear (apart from some almost INVISIBLE 'touching in' traces!), only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), some evidence of 'touching in' to the spinal edge (NO spine splits!), only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), only very VERY light rubbing to the cover front, some typical slight ringwear to the cover back, NO sticker residue marks, only an absolutely TINY wear trace in one corner (absolutely TINY and almost INVISIBLE!), NO annotations, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edges are beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  Even the inside of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO grubbyness, barely ANY yellowing, NO rubbing, NO ringwear, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must MEGA STRICTLY grade Very Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better - and is still a very VERY decent record indeed!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE (ESPECIALLY 100% COMPLETE LIKE THIS ONE IS!)  - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
