ORIGINAL UK 1st PRESSING IN UNPLAYED ARCHIVE MINT CONDITION

in the early 1970s I visited B&C Records in London at their offices in 37 Soho Square - the shelves in their stockroom were heavy with the weight of hundreds of great albums issued on various of the B&C offshoots including Stable, Pegasus and, of course, most importantly, Charisma - even though I was just a teenager, some of  these LPs were already so special to me that I decided to buy spare copies of as many as I could afford - I wanted to add them to an unplayed archive collection of classics from the era on the four main progressive labels: Island, Harvest, Vertigo and Charisma - these records have remained in my care for more than 30 years, stored in perfect archival conditions and hardly ever handled or inspected - every so often I release a copy or two for sale (last year I sold mint copies of VdGG's H To He, Hammill's Fool's Mate and Genesis Trespass + Nursery Cryme, among others) - I have also endeavoured to increase my stock of mint unplayed records from collections both large and small - there will be those among you who will claim that this is not a particularly rare LP, however I would ask you to try finding a mint as-new original such as this - it is now virtually impossible - one of the most important progressive LPs of those amazing times, masterminded by one of the most important artists of the genre - the recent Van der Graaf Generator reunion concert at The Royal Festival Hall and subsequent appearances have indeed turned out to be something quite incredible - I saw the band, as well as Peter solo, on stage many times during the mid to late 70s - every performance was genuinely worthy of the description ‘amazing’ - musician, writer, thinker, visionary - PETER HAMMILL
