UNUSUAL WARNER BROS ACETATE - TIOMKIN - I AM YOUR DREAM - THE MOVIE "THE OLD MAN AND SEA." Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
This is a 12-inch 78 rpm acetate record featuring a male vocalist singing "I Am Your Dream." The melody was composed by Dimitri Tiomkin for the Spencer Tracy movie "The Old Man and The Sea," (although the label reads "Old Man of Sea".)
This version of the song does not appear on the soundtrack album for the film and I am not sure if it was used in the film since I have not watched it.
This was either a demo or used in production of the movie since it has a Warners production label on it. I cannot identify who the vocalist is.
There is a record sleeve included with Mr. Tiomkin's name written on it, but it does not appear to be his actual signature based on autographs I have seen of his.
The record sleeve is in poor shape and deteriorating. I will include a new 12 inch sleeve with the original. The record plays well with a few scuffs and light scratches but no skips. It is a one-sided record with nothing on side 2.
