U2, "A Day Without Me / I Will Follow” mega rare 7" vinyl single FRENCH pressing (Island Records Cat.no.: 6837 672).
Clean labels. The 7" record in an Excellent to Near Mint condition!!!! (see scans below).
A little history. This record comes straight out of my personal collection.
I bought this record in the early nineties from a french record dealer on a record fair in Rotterdam (Ahoy). The record dealer told me that he had bought it complete with Island company sleeve (vg) at an early 1981 (BOY tour) show in france, of course I can't verify that the same goes with the company sleeve, standard is a plain white sleeve.

In september 1999 magazine Record Collector (No. 241) published a top 30 U2 rarities under the title "U2 GBP 20.000 of Rarities". This french release I am auctioning was put on place 16.
RC wrote about this single and I quote: " Our French cousins took a minimalistic approach to this double headed 7" coupling of early A-sides -- with no centre or sleeve, the single looks like a promo or jukebox copy, but is in fact a commercial issue. Its rarity, however, puts its value in the region of 450 GBP".
