Description

This is one for the collectors of rarities from the British "beat boom" of the middle sixties.  Twice as Much were a duo consisting of David Skinner and Andrew Rose who had the good fortune to be picked up and signed by the then Rolling Stones producer Andrew Loog Oldham to his own Immediate label.  Their main claim to fame was recording the Jagger/Richard composition "Sitting on a Fence" in 1966, a year before the Stones' version was released.  The single made the UK top forty.  They followed up with an even better single "Step out of Line" but this failed to trouble the charts.  Their first (of only two) albums Own Up was produced by Andrew Loog Oldham.  This is the original 1966 release on the Immediate label.

The vinyl is in very good condition, albeit with some background "crackling"  on playback.  The unlaminated sleeve is also very good but there is a two inch split in the spine.
