Here we go !!! - a fabulous original copy of the record that changed music history - That's Alright Mama / Blue Moon Of Kentucky.
Elvis' first release in 1954 on the legendary Sun record label.
This is an original pressing and it is in great condition. I have just played it again on my wife's Dansette and it's like going back in time. There are no skips or major pops or crackles just the slight hiss of age, That's All Right is very good and the Blue Moon side is really clear. Anyway if you want crystal clear sound put a CD on, this is history !!
Obviously the really great part are the labels and centre hole, just look at the pics, near mint. I bought this from the USA some years ago, as I upgraded my collection, and my understanding is that it originally came from the collection of Jack Clement - legendary Sun producer working with Sam Phillips.
I've been collecting Sun records for years, but I've never got round to framing or displaying this one, so along with some other stuff it is time for it to go.
If you're reading this you know how important this is to serious Elvis and Record collectors. Rare to find a copy in this condition especially in the UK
I want to be absolutely honest and I want this to go to a real collector, so I have shown 2 pics in direct sunlight which makes everything look as bad as it can be, so that you can see exactly what the condition is. All of the marks you can see in these pics are very light when viewed normally and I can assure you this disc would look great framed.
If you are serious about owning a copy, then don't wait, go for it !!!    If you ever see a better one (unlikely) you can always upgrade.
Please study ALL the pics carefully and ask ANY questions BEFORE bidding, as I want you to be sure of what a treasure you are getting.
I have said free P&P and I will sort out a delivery method based on your location. Due to the value and fragility of the item I would love the buyer to collect but I will also consider delivering myself. Whatever, I will get it to you safe and sound.
