      I don't know what to say about this peculiar disc other than its fun.  Pictured is a Tru-Tone test pressing - transcription recording of Bing Crosby.  It has "matrix" numbers of CMR 100 and 101, scratched into the disc.  Side 100 is a radio show commercial for Philco record changers, either recorded live or made to sound live.  There is banter, jokes, laughs from the audience etc. and the single commercial takes up the whole side.  Side 101 is the interesting side.  It is Bing singing "Wrap Your Troubles In Dreams" with an orchestra.  It's your standard song until the end.  I suppose someone missed a cue and things fall apart.  Bing keeps singing the whole time and the musicians keep playing.  However he also starts singing ad-libs.  Comments like "they cut out eight bars the dirty bastards". While this is going on, someone in the background occasionally lets out a laugh.  The "song" ends with "Holy Christ, I'm going off my nut!".  My dear deceased father in law, who was a big time Bing Crosby fan just about choked when he heard it years ago.  This is not your ordinary Bing Crosby record.  The disc has no chips, splits, cracks or skips.  It does have a few light pops but it still sounds good.  If you are a Crosby fan, this may be your best chance to own a somewhat unique (and admittedly absurd) Bing Crosby record.  Thanks for taking a look-see!

     The record will be securely packed between several layers of double corrugated cardboard, one cut out for the disc.  The few discs I've sold in the past generally arrived in great shape.  However, the Post Office is sometimes unpredictable.  Therefore, each shipment has a handling charge that is the cost of insurance and all shipments will be insured.  Anything beyond basic insurance, I will pay for.
     NOTE:  I'm primarily a cylinder collector.  (Have hundreds of the little beasts!).  Through the years I've also sometimes purchased discs for their content, condition, apparent rarity or they were just plain cheap!!  At age 61 I've gotten tired of lugging these discs through life.  As none of my kids has the slightest interest in these old recordings, I've decided its time to start getting rid of some of them.  Over the months they will be offered, more or less in the order that they surface from my barn and storage shed.  (They have not been offered locally nor have they been picked through).  If there is nothing here you like, check back from time to time.  There’s lots of goodies and you never know what you might find.  Thanks for taking a peek!!
