THE ZOMBIES Begin Here - Extremely rare debut 1965 first UK issue 14-track deep groove MONO LP, highlighting the British group's early R&B roots, with outstanding versions of Road Runner, I Got My Mojo Working & Summertime, plus the first examples of Argent's incredible songwriting prowess, in The Way I Feel Inside & She's Not There.
Condition :-
a highly respectable VG+/ EX
Sleeve :-
The 'Robert Stace' front laminated sleeve has some light creasing to the front laminate and around the edges. It has a nice clean rear sleeve. All text remains clearly legible, including along the spine. There are no tears, writing or other blemishes. Graded at VG+/EX-.
The label design is the classic red, unboxed print with 'ffrr' ear logo to the right, 'Made In England, The Decca Record Co Ltd' perimeter text around the top & K/T tax code to the right. The print is in silver, & there is no writing or tears that might intrude or upset the lettering. The 'deep grooves' are present both sides & there are some spindle marks around the centre hole to indicate some play in its time.
The vinyl retains its bright sheen and has only a couple of faint hairlines, and thanks to the quality of sixties British Decca pressings, playback is clear and dynamic. Grading is at least EX, a fine example of this rare record.
