Description

You are bidding the extremely rare rare Kinks US  promo of the album Arthur or the Fall and decline of the British Empire. This is far rarer than much vaunted  boxed God Save the Kinks promo that was was offered on mail away - this was a strictly promo item never offered for sale to the public at time of pressing. It part of the massive campaign to reacquaint the Kinks to the US public.  It was released on the eve the Kinks return to American tour in in October 1969. The outer sleeve is akin to the Who live at Leeds a  wrap around with fake newspaper headlines and cuttings recording the  alleged nefarious activities of the Kinks with a list of tour dates. On the inner leaf there are a host of inserts and two that include bio's reviews and articles on the Kinks and two 8x10 glossy photos. Also included is a promo Arthur album complete with the Queen Victoria pull out lyric insert. The whole package given the rarity is is excellent condition. This has been in my collecllection Russell Smith for over 30 years and carefully stored.  Payment by PayPal only. Shipped by insured mail only
