The Who: Phases, 11 LP Box set, Polydor Records 1984, German Import, 2675 216. Compilation, Reissue of box set containing all nine original Who LPs of the Keith Moon-era, with bullseye-style labels and housed in normal separate top/bottom box.
All albums in this set are flat, pristine and play without skipping. Hubby says he bought this when it came out and has only listened to each one only once or twice. This set has been well protected over the years by a solid box whose lid lifts off. All the album covers are perfect or nearly so. The only problem any of them have is possibly some aging spots. The outer box has caught 99% of the wear and tear and it still looks great. It does have one corner that has split but some white tape will hide that well. All come with original inner sleeves as well. All of them are perfect too, apart from aforementioned aging stains. This is the ultimate collection for any Who fan. There are 7 albums, 2 of which are double LPs. Tommy and Quadrophenia have extra inserts that are immaculate. The one in Quadrophenia is a tome and attached to the inner cover. We’re selling our collection of LPs that we’ve bought over the years. They hadn’t been played for over 20 years so we cleaned and listened to each one to be sure there are no skips when playing on our turntable, an Audio-Technica AT-LP60X-GM. I didn’t make notes on each one as I listened to it as far as any clicks, pops, etc. but I got rid of several that had too much noise or any skips. If you want me to go back and play an album and let you know of any surface noise, clicks, etc., please contact me and I will give you a full rundown prior to purchase.
